Giving Up Writing For Lent

Well at least I'm ahead of schedule. And this is important to me, as I'm usually lagging behind.

And I'd like to publicly boo-hiss Bill Gates for my decision. Enough said.

But on a positive note, I'm definitely going to go to a race this weekend.

I am eyeing this...

Come join us for the 9th Annual St. Joe's Jog 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. The start/finish will be at St. Joseph Catholic School which is located at 134 Prince Avenue, Athens, GA 30601. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Clute Barrow Nelson Children's Center of St. Mary's Hospital and educational programs at St. Joseph's Catholic School.

Additional Information
Pottery awards in the 5K will be presented to Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, and top three Male/Female in age groups beginning 15-19 through 75 and over. The two lower age groups will receive special trohpies. All participants in the 1 mile fun run will receive medals. This race is part of the 2008 Run and See GA Grand Prix Series. Early packet pickup is available on Friday, February 15, 2008 between 11:00AM and 6:00PM. Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7:00AM. The entire course will be run on paved streets in the historic Boulevard district of Athens, GA.

Fees:
$18.00 by 2/9/08, $20.00 afterwards to race day.
